Fertility Education with Dr. Kaajal Abrol on the PrincipalED Podcast

The PrincipalED podcast has just released its fifth episode, "Fertility Education and Empowerment with Dr. Kaajal Abrol," featuring an enlightening and deeply personal conversation between host Grace McCallum and one of Canada’s leading voices in reproductive medicine.
Dr. Kaajal Abrol, a double board-certified Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Specialist, TEDx speaker and devoted advocate for fertility education, joins the podcast to unpack the science, stigma and social impact of infertility and reproductive health education. A respected expert in her field, Dr. Abrol combines cutting-edge medical knowledge with a compassionate, patient-centered approach, helping countless individuals and couples on their journey to parenthood.

In this episode, Dr. Abrol discusses what drew her to one of the most demanding specialties in medicine and why comprehensive fertility education—particularly for girls and young women—is more critical than ever. Listeners will gain insight into the myths that persist around reproductive health, the emotional toll of infertility and the importance of empowering patients with accurate, timely information.

Dr. Abrol also reflects on her recent TEDx talk, where she tackled the complex interplay between age, fertility and education. She shares how platforms like her podcast Fertility Doc Talk and her growing Instagram community (@kaajalabrolmd) have become key tools in her mission to make reproductive education more accessible and relatable.

A mother, wife and proud member of the Branksome Hall parent community, Dr. Abrol brings a uniquely empathetic, grounded and holistic perspective to the conversation—making this episode a must-listen for parents, educators, students and anyone interested in reproductive health.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT
We wish to acknowledge this land on which Branksome operates. For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Wendat, the Seneca, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit River. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work and go to school on this land.*

*The Land Acknowledgement may evolve as we honour our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation in partnership with Indigenous communities.

Setting the new standard for girls' education everywhere takes collective action. From all of us.
