Sandra BOLTÉ’73

“So many of our family members have attended or been involved with Branksome. It’s a connection that truly spans generations.”
Supporting Branksome is something of a family tradition for alumna, past parent and current staff member, Sandra BOLTÉ’73.

This generous history started with Sandra’s parents, Diana BECK Bolté’46 and Auguste Bolté, and is now being continued by her children, Andrea AMELL Rees’03 and Stephen Amell.

When Sandra married John Burns (father of Allison BURNS’04) in December, Andrea and Stephen surprised the couple with a special gift: the endowment of a new Student Financial Aid fund in their names, as well as the rechristening of the Senior Student Athlete of the Year Award in Sandra’s honour.

“This gift means so much to us and was such a complete surprise,” says Sandra. “Their gift was the highlight of what was already an incredible day in our lives.”

LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT
We wish to acknowledge this land on which Branksome operates. For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit River. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work and go to school on this land.

Setting the new standard for girls' education everywhere takes collective action. From all of us.
