University Counsellors
Branksome Hall’s University Counselling Department facilitates a student-centred approach throughout the university research and application process. University Counsellors place the needs, interests and goals of the student at the forefront, recognizing that each student has unique strengths and aspirations. With their Counsellor’s support, every student is empowered to make informed decisions about their future academic and post-secondary pathway.
The Value of IB
All JK to Grade 12 students follow the IB curriculum, a rigorous academic approach that leaves students well-prepared for university and is recognized by U.S., UK and international universities during the admissions process. Students in Grades 11 and 12 take IB courses and fulfil the Ontario Secondary School Diploma requirements. They may complete the Full Diploma Programme or Branksome’s IB Select pathway, which allows them to curate their courses.
In and of the City of Toronto
Our graduates represent the cultural diversity of Toronto, since Branksome Hall is located in midtown Toronto and many students take public transit to school. Toronto has long been recognized as one of the most multicultural cities in the world, with more than 230 different nationalities, approximately 200 different languages spoken and 140 neighbourhoods of distinct character and vibrancy.
Grades 11 & 12 Pathways
Based on their post-secondary goals, students will choose to enter one of two Diploma program options. We believe choice offers agency and control, and a personalized course selection plays to each student’s unique strengths and assets.
Full Diploma
At Branksome, we believe in the value of a liberal arts education, as represented by the Full Diploma Programme, to expose students to varied ways of knowing and thinking across the disciplines.
Branksome Hall IB Select
Students who decide to take the IB Select Program pathway will be exposed to varied ways of knowing and thinking, while experiencing a more personalized or a more discipline-focused pathway.
