HOW TO APPLY - Senior School

Plan Your Visit
As you consider Branksome Hall for the 2023 academic year, you may wish to attend one of our in-person Open Houses or engage in a small group tour. Connecting with us virtually will be available through Conversation Corners and Ask Admissions events. Our expansive campus is highlighted in our 3D virtual tours and you can also meet a few students and school administrators as you visit spaces in the virtual tours.

Submit Application
  • Create an account to allow you to complete and submit your application, including payment of the application fee
  • Once your application is processed, a Checklist will be assigned to your account where you will then have the ability to upload required documents including:
    1. Birth certificate and/or passport
    2. Relevant report cards
    3. Book an interview
Interviews and Assessments
Grade 9 is a major entry year with approximately 24 openings. Grades 10 and 11 have more limited openings, between 6 and 10 for each grade.

A member of our Admissions team will first interview the applicant, then parents will be invited in for the family interview portion.

Grade 9-11 applicants are required to either write our Branksome Hall Math and English Entrance Tests or submit their results of the SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test). For more information on writing the SSAT, please visit the SSAT website, and book your test to be written by January 22, 2023. Students interested in the Branksome Hall Entrance Tests will complete a writing task and a Math assessment. More details on these Branksome Hall tests will be shared with applicants throughout the admissions process.

For all Grade 11 applicants, the Math curriculum in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (Grades 11 and 12 at Branksome Hall) is advanced and requires that students complete their Ontario Grade 11 Functions Math credit (MCR3U) before starting at Branksome Hall in September 2023. There are many options for students to complete this credit and the Admissions team will be pleased to guide applicants through this requirement. Should you have any questions, please contact us at admissions@branksome.on.ca.

Land Acknowledgement

We wish to acknowledge this land on which Branksome operates. For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit River. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work and go to school on this land.
