How to Apply - Junior School, JK-Grade 6

Below are some essential steps when applying to Branksome Hall.

Plan Your Virtual Visit
This year, we will be offering prospective families opportunities to virtually visit our campus and to learn more about our school. If you are unable to attend the live event, we will share recordings on our website for you to view.

Virtual Tours
We are excited to announce that families may tour Branksome Hall anytime from the comfort of their own space. We are offering a self-guided 3D virtual tour of the AWC and Junior School here.

Junior School Virtual Open House
Please join us for our Junior School Virtual Open House on October 29.

Virtual Conversation Corners
We invite JK/SK applicants and Grade 1-6 applicants to join one of our Virtual Conversation Corners to learn more about our IB Advantage for Girls and specific supports for students at these different stages of their development.

Ask an Ambassador
Grade 2-6 applicants can join our Virtual Ask an Ambassador session on November 21 to speak to some of our current student Ambassadors to ask questions and hear about the student experience first hand

Our Admissions team looks forward to answering any questions via phone or email, or you may book a virtual chat with us over Zoom.

Interviews and Assessments
Once your application is submitted you will have the opportunity to book your virtual interview and pay the application fee through our online booking system.

Families whose daughters are applying for JK and SK will have a Zoom interview with a member of our admissions team. Students will not be directly questioned during the interview.

Grades 1-4
A member of our Admissions team will first interview the student over Zoom and then parents will be invited for the family interview portion. No preparation is necessary, as it is an opportunity for us to connect and get to know prospective students and their families.

Grades 5 & 6
Please note that Grades 5 and 6 are not entry years and spaces are attrition dependent. We do not conduct a full admissions process until we have confirmed openings. Applications are encouraged in the event spaces become available. Should we move forward with the application, an Admissions member will be in contact to schedule your daughter’s interview.

Our student assessments take into consideration the age and stage of each applicant while exploring the reading, writing, math and critical thinking proficiencies. We will be in touch with each applicant family to provide information on our assessment plans for this year of virtual admissions. We typically conduct our assessments in January and will update families during the application process.
