We are Toronto's leading independent International Baccalaureate (IB) World School for girls. Our curriculum is globally focused. Our faculty, international. And our technology and facilities, state-of-the-art. We believe that intellectual curiosity and advanced problem-solving are key to thriving in a complex, changing world.
Every Branksome Hall student from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 benefits from the IB curriculum. Cultivating curiosity, creative and critical thinking, and facilitating regular assessments and feedback, the IB offers unparalleled university preparation.
Pathways for Grades 11 & 12
Based on their post-secondary goals, students will choose to enter one of two Diploma program options. We believe choice offers agency and control, and a personalized course selection plays to each studentβs unique strengths and assets.
The Primary Years Programme is designed to nurture a lifelong love of learning. Students are challenged to think critically, research deeply and develop globally minded perspectives on a broad range of issues.
The Middle Years Programme focuses on the development of the whole girl. Students use inquiry to discover content and knowledge, as well as to explore real-world applications, create new meaning and solve problems.
An emphasis on international-mindedness and intercultural understanding, providing context for young women to lead in a complex, interdisciplinary, globally connected adult world.

What a week Branksome πΈ! We thanked our incredible donors with a delicious treat at drop-off this morning π¬, the Junior School community celebrated Stand Up for Kindness Week by designing and trading buttons with positive messages on them π and the Junior School honoured Remembrance Day with Senior School trumpeters Aenea and Charlotte, who played "The Last Post" and "Reveille" during a moment of silence. πΊ
We are proud to celebrate Isabella Liu, Junior School Innovation & Technology Coordinator, who was one of only seven showcase presenters at the prestigious Future of Learning Conference in Hong Kong, curated by Apple Distinguished Educators.
This yearβs theme was Compassion. Isabella delivered a powerful presentation reflecting on a pivotal moment in her career: becoming a Grosvenor Teacher Fellow with the National Geographic Society and Lindblad Expeditions. She shared the invaluable lessons learned from expert storytellers on how to craft narratives that truly matter.
Isabella`s goal is to equip our students to centre the human element of connection while navigating an increasingly AI-driven world. π
On National Philanthropy Day, weβre celebrating you, our donors, with a special song featuring lyrics tailored to showcase all the ways youβre making a difference for our girls.

From early mornings on the water to leading school Assemblies, Sabrina SEVILLE`25 made the most of her opportunities at Branksome Hall. An accomplished coxswain, Sabrina was selected for the Junior National Team for a third consecutive year and was named the #1 junior coxswain in Canada, a major honour. Equally transformative was her experience as the Admissions and Assemblies Prefect in her Grade 12 year, where she grew her leadership skills and developed her voice.
Now at Brown University, where she is studying History and competing as a recruited coxswain on their NCAA Division I Womenβs Rowing Team, Sabrina wants to continue to make way for girls in sports to chase their dreams.

Today, on Remembrance Day, we paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the line of duty, veterans and their families with a special Assembly.
We reflected on why we remember, held a candle lighting ceremony and welcomed Lieutenant Colonel Ann Lockhart, who shared her story about being in the Toronto Scottish Regiment. We also honoured two Branksome alums for their role in WWII, when Branksome Hall opened its campus to more than 100 girls from England who were fleeing danger back home. Each year, Remembrance Day reminds us of the cost of war and the enduring importance of striving for a peaceful world. #LestWeForget #RemembranceDay
The Branksome Hall campus is now closed for the Fall Break. We wish everyone a safe and restful long weekend, and look forward to seeing students and colleagues back on campus on Tuesday! ππ
