Welcome to branksome hall
We are Toronto's leading independent International Baccalaureate (IB) World School for girls. Our curriculum is globally focused. Our faculty, international. And our technology and facilities, state-of-the-art. We believe that intellectual curiosity and advanced problem-solving are key to thriving in a complex, changing world.
INNOVATION IN ACTION: BREAKING GROUND ON OUR iCAST FACILITY
We are building the Branksome of tomorrow for our community of creative innovators. The Karen L. Jurjevich Innovation Centre and Studio Theatre (iCAST), currently under construction, will extend into the school community and beyond, offering a space where arts and innovation are integrated, and ideas are realized.
Meet the Branksome Hall students and alums learning the skills to change the world.

After more than a decade off the pitch, Branksome Hall is bringing back rugby—and this time, it’s the fast-paced, electrifying version of the sport: rugby sevens.
On April 4, 2025, the Senior & Middle School community came together for Branksome Hall’s first-ever Culture Day—a vibrant, around-the-world celebration of culture, food, tradition and storytelling. Students and employees set up booths representing various countries and cultures, offering the community a chance to explore and learn in a dynamic and engaging way.
On Saturday, April 5, 2025, Branksome Hall’s very own Grade 12 student Helen Ziomecki was crowned overall winner of the 2025 World Individual Debating and Public Speaking Championships (WIDPSC), held this year in Kuala Lumpur. It was a moment of déjà vu in the best way as Helen’s win comes only one year after Branksome’s Anna GAGE’24 brought home the trophy at the 2024 WIDPSC competition in Australia. This back-to-back win is not only a testament to the dedication and calibre of Branksome’s debate students and coaches, but it is also an historic achievement for the school. Only three other schools in the history of the competition have had consecutive Worlds champions—and all of them have been Canadian—which is truly a testament to the deep commitment to and belief in the value of debate and public speaking in this country’s schools.
Each day, more than 900 students benefit from your generosity. Quite simply, you touch the life of every student, providing endless possibilities to explore, take risks and feel valued for their unique talents, igniting a lifelong love of learning.
At Branksome Hall, we’re not just enriching students’ minds – we’re giving them minds of their own. So they can challenge the status quo, set new standards, and carve their own path to success.
We wish to acknowledge this land on which Branksome operates. For thousands of years, it has been the traditional land of the Wendat, the Seneca, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit River. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work and go to school on this land.*
*The Land Acknowledgement may evolve as we honour our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation in partnership with Indigenous communities.
