When can you start being a leader?

Whether you wish to be Head Girl or organize your advisor group to do a service activity, leadership starts as a desire to take on a new role.

Girls in Grade 7 can begin formal leadership through the Our House Committee or being elected as one of the two grade representatives who sit on the Student Life Committee.

When you are in a club or on a committee, you are encouraged to contribute your ideas and work together to create collaborative change. Some girls start a new club. By sharing their passion with others or finding those with similar passions, they gain confidence and experience to run a meeting or to organize a group to run a candy sale, a fundraiser or a lunch-time activity.

Junior School girls take initiative from the early grades, through community service and fundraising. In Grade 6, they have formal roles, such as being ambassadors and greeters, or through the Action Committee.
