 Tanay Naik

I was very fortunate to have been an IB student. The IB provided me with many lifelong memories and skills. As part of completing my CAS experiences, I had the chance to take part in dramatic arts, play Varsity Volleyball, referee sports in my community, and travel to Thailand to work on house-building projects.

Completing the Extended Essay instilled in me a lifelong love of research and learning and, most important, I felt well prepared for the rigours of university work. The IB also afforded me many practical benefits; I was given advanced standing in university and was able to finish my undergraduate degree one year early. The IB is a program that gave me the opportunity to see many parts of the world, participate in co-curricular activities, and be a part of lifelong community of learners. This is a community I'm still very much part of as a teacher in the IB Program. My goal, when I decided to become a teacher, was to teach in a school that provided the enriching experience of an IB education and I'm happy to have found that community at Branksome Hall.
