U13 Basketball
After two losses at the beginning of their season and a reshuffling of line-ups by coach Catherine Fitton, the U13 basketball team defeated SCS 38-12. All players contributed to this resounding victory, but the MVP was Jacqueline Flannery, who demonstrates her elite basketball skills both offensively and defensively.

U14 Field Hockey
After losing two close exhibition games, the U14 Field Hockey team, coached by Stacy Shepley, defeated Bishop Strachan School 2-0 in their first league game. A key player leading the team is centre fielder Sam Bisnaire, whose defensive play is as strong as her offensive tactics. Adrienne Archibald shows strong leadership qualities for the forwards, by setting up plays and guiding her peers on the field. A great start to their season thus far!

Senior Field Hockey
The Senior Field Hockey team, coached by Jackie Bennett, had a busy start to the year with participation in the all-day School Girls’ Tournament and a road trip to Buffalo to Nichols School, which resulted in a tied game. The top scorers are Meg Chippindale and Jill Abernethy. Congratulations to the goalies, Lauren Dineley and Anna Moore, for their hard work and dedication.

Junior/Senior Swimming
The Junior/Senior Swim team has participated in numerous meets. Most recently, the Branksome team, coached by Kathy Stegenga, hosted an invitational meet, where St. Mildred’s Lightbourn, Havergal, and Branksome had a friendly race. The Junior/Senior Swim team and the Tad/U14 Swim Team will be participating in the Bishop’s Cup on November 1. We wish all swimmers the best of luck!

Senior Soccer
This year the Senior Soccer team is coached by Bob Boettcher from Bryst Co. (an independent agency specializing in high-performance soccer coaching) and Sylvie Belanger, of Branksome Hall. With a small complement (only 14 athletes), the soccer team has been a force to reckon with. Carleigh Martin, a new Grade 12 student, has been an asset to the team, which participated in the CAIS tournament October 12-15, in Sherbrooke, Quebec.
