How to Apply

Below are some essential steps when you apply to Branksome Hall:

Plan a visit

We hold Open Houses, exhibit at the Our Kids Fair each year, offer tours weekly, run evening information sessions and are available to meet with you and answer your questions at any time. We respond to all e-mails within 24 hours of receiving them. We also travel internationally each year, to meet families of potential residence students.

Submit an application

Apply by December 10, 2010.

Please submit the following:

1

A completed application form.

2

Application fee of $200.

3

Recent report cards: the most recent report card plus the final report cards from the two previous years.

4

Any other pertinent educational information that might assist the school in understanding your daughter's history (e.g. an educational assessment).

5

A student profile, completed by your daughter (Grades 4-12).

Schedule an interview

Once your application has been received, we will contact you to arrange your interview.  We make every effort to offer you a convenient time and date.  Students and parents attend together and are offered a customized tour before the interview. Interviews are informal, and are meant to help both the school and the applicant get to know each other better.

Book an Entrance Test

Entrance testing is completed in an age appropriate way. Students from JK - Grade 6 are tested holistically using the most current assessment tools.  Students in Grade 7 and 8 will prepare and present during the interview a portfolio of graded school work and personal accomplishments. Students from Grade 9 - 12 must write the SSAT (Secondary School Admissions Test). Students unable to write the SSAT will write Branksome Hall’s own entrance test.

Keep in touch

There are all kinds of wonderful opportunities to visit again, attend school events, meet teachers, speak to counselors, parents and current students.  Please contact us at any time if you have a question. Interesting news and events will be shared on our website.
