 How to Apply

Below are some essential steps when applying to Branksome Hall.

Plan a visit
We welcome you to come and visit Branksome Hall!
We hold Open Houses each fall and offer tours weekly. We also have evening information sessions and are available to meet with you and answer your questions at any time. Our Admissions staff will respond to all e-mails within 24 hours of receiving them. We also travel internationally each year to meet families of potential residence students.

Submit an application
Your 5 steps for applying:

A completed online application form
Application fee of $210
Recent report cards: the most recent report card plus the final report cards from the two previous years
Any other pertinent educational information that might assist the school in understanding your daughter's history (e.g., an educational assessment)
The Student Profile section of the online application, completed by your daughter (Grades 4-12)

Interview
Within two weeks of submitting your application, you will be contacted by the Admissions office to arrange your interview. We make every effort to offer you a convenient date and time. Students and parents attend together and are offered a customized tour before the interview. Interviews are informal and are meant to help both the school and the applicant get to know each other better. International students unable to visit the school in person will be contacted in order to set a convenient time for a Skype interview.

Book an entrance test
Entrance testing is completed in an age-appropriate way. Students from JK - Grade 6 are tested holistically using the most current assessment tools. Local students applying for Grade 7 and 8 are asked to prepare and present during the interview a portfolio of graded school work and personal accomplishments. International students applying to Grade 7 and 8 must write the SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test). All students applying to Grade 9 to 12 must write the SSAT. Students unable to write the SSAT will write Branksome Hall's own entrance test.

Keep in touch
There are all kinds of wonderful opportunities to visit again, attend school events, meet teachers, speak to counsellors, parents and current students. Please contact us at any time if you have a question. Interesting news and events will be shared on our website.
