Board of Governors

Branksome Hall’s Board of Governors is a Governance Policy Board that sets strategic directions for the school and ensures that we work toward achieving the Board’s vision and goals. These dedicated individuals include business and community leaders – among them parents, past parents and alumnae – who generously devote their time and effort to Branksome’s success and financial well-being. In partnership with Principal Karen Murton, our Board of Governors helps Branksome to keep well the road.

The Board of Governors comprises 19 governors, including the President of the Parents’ Association and the President of the Alumnae Executive, and operates under the authority of Board by-laws. Board members are elected at the Annual General Meeting of Branksome Hall each September. The Board holds regular monthly meetings during the academic year and special meetings as required, including a day-long retreat. There are three standing committees of the Board: Audit, Governance and Property, with ad hoc committees formed at the discretion of the Board.
