Order of Canada Winner and Alumna Speaks to Parents
At our recent Branksome Hall Parents Association (BHPA) Parent Luncheon, alumna Fiona SAMPSON’81 shared her incredible story of helping girls in Kenya through the “160 Girls” project. This ground-breaking legal initiative worked to achieve justice for girls in Kenya and protect them against rape. The project set in place action which orders the state to enforce existing laws to hold rapists accountable for their actions.

Held at The Toronto Lawn and Tennis Club, parents came together to enjoy a lunch, meet friends old and new, and hear about Fiona’s impactful work.

Two weeks after speaking at the Parent Luncheon, Fiona Sampson was awarded her Order of Canada medal—the highest honour a Canadian civilian can be awarded.
