Chief Justice, Ontario Court of Justice
Annemarie helped to pave the way for women in law. In 1978, she was appointed the first female Crown Attorney in Brampton.
In 1990, Annemarie and a female colleague were the first women sworn-in in Brampton as Judges of the Provincial Court (now the Ontario Court of Justice), a novelty that found their photos on the front pages of the Globe & Mail.
In 2007, Annemarie was appointed the first female Chief Justice of the Ontario Court of Justice.
